Welcome to the 3rd annual Holiday Gift Guide for teenage girls! Now that my daughter is 16, it was a little harder to track her down, but we did it. The items below are either on her Christmas Wish List or she already owns them. We hope this list helps you pick out the perfect gift for your favorite teenage girl.
Clothing
AERIE and Urban Outfitters are two stores you need to know this year if you are buying for a teenage girl! We first went to Aerie in search of bralettes and much to our surprise, their clothes are extremely soft and comfortable. Here are a few of my daughter’s favorites from Aerie:
Urban Outfitters is another favorite store for my daughter and her friends. She recently bought this cute fuzzy jacket for her NYC trip. I also saw a lot of fuzzy sweaters and jackets at my local Target, so you may want to check there, too.
As you will see from the pictures later in this post, they also love these pom pom beanies.
Jeans are another staple in any teenager’s wardrobe. My daughter discovered Articles of Society jeans this year at Nordstrom, and they fit her long, skinny legs really well. They come in a variety of styles and colors.
Another must have is a Puff Jacket especially if you live in a cold climate. She wore this Patagonia jacket every day on her NYC trip, and it kept her really warm.

Shoes
Black combat boots are a staple in my daughter’s wardrobe. She wore this particular pair in NYC and walked many blocks without any blisters. She said this pair, “isn’t as clunky as some other boots I’ve tried on.”

And let’s not forget the bootie. You can wear them with jeans for a casual look or dress them up with a long dress. My daughter enjoys wearing these with a pair of jeans and a soft, cozy sweater.

Last year, Steve Madden slides were really popular, and they still are, but believe it or not Checkered Vans (Yes, the ones we wore in the 80s) are back again, and teenagers love them.

Beauty Items
If your teenage girl struggles with tangled hair when she gets out of the shower, we highly recommend the Wet Brush. It’s the best detangling brush we have found, and it comes in many cute colors.

My daughter doesn’t wear makeup on a daily basis, but every once in awhile she puts on a little glam. When she does, she loves the Hoola Bronzer by Benefit. She loves it because it “warms up” her face without looking like she’s wearing too much makeup.

I’m sure you’ve seen Charcoal Masks are all over the place on social media. Not only are they fun to use, this mask is good for your teenager’s skin because it’s “formulated with charcoal and salicylic acid to detoxify and rid skin of nasty impurities while helping to keep skin clear.”

Accessories
Apple does it again with a new accessory. These AirPods (wireless earphones) are all the rage this year. In fact, I’m putting these on my Christmas List as I got tangled up with my full-wire headphones at the gym the other day.
For a new 16 year old driver, key chains and shades are a must. I found these cute pom pom ball key chains at Michael’s, and they are under $5.00 a piece.

As for the shades, you can’t go wrong with a great pair of Ray-Ban Aviators. (There are many other affordable options on Amazon, too.) Another sunglass style that’s popular with teenage girls are the round metal frames. You can’t go wrong with either one.

How cute are these Brandy Melville STAR-shaped earrings? My daughter bought these for herself, and they look really cute with her hair pulled back.

Who doesn’t love the Yeti brand? My daughter received a Yeti tumbler for her birthday last year. Hers was monogrammed – did you know some Etsy sites monogram Yetis? She loves it because it keeps her water cold “all day.”

As we went back through the previous Holiday Gift Guides, she still loves many of the same items like bath bombs, Clinique skincare and anything Kate Spade.
What gifts will you purchase for your teenage girl this holiday season?
Happy Holidays!!
I might just buy the charcoal mask for Olivia. She enjoys "getting older" and doing facial treatments her mom does! And the pom pom key chains will look cute on her book bag. She's been after me to buy her a black pair of combat boots….just might add that to my list too. Thanks Kim!
Hi Martha! Thanks for the comment. I hope Olivia loves what you get her for Christmas. XO Kim
