A Peek into My House

You may have noticed that I’ve been posting more home pictures on Instagram. As some of you know, we moved from Virginia to Minnesota last July. I would have never picked MN on the map as a place to move, but I’m glad my job brought us here because we LOVE it! Below are a few rooms and projects we’ve been working on in our house.

Over the past year, I’ve become obsessed with the show “Fixer Upper” on HGTV. I love watching Chip & Jojo and have been inspired by many of their projects.

I had a work trip last month to Austin, Texas and was so close to Waco that I had to drive through to see Chip and Jojo’s Magnolia store. Unfortunately, they were closed on Sunday, but I still had to snap a few pictures.

I ordered this big clock from Magnolia Market online and think it looks pretty cool on my mantle. I still need something for the right side, but it’s all a work in progress.

Last weekend’s project included painting my Grandmother’s antique cabinet using Annie Sloan’s chalk paint. I found the two cute lanterns at Homegoods and the turquoise glass vase at a local store. I love the way it turned out!

Here’s a peek into my bedroom. I bought the sign above the bedroom door years ago at Homegoods and it’s still one of my favorite sayings. We purchased our bed from Domain furniture over 19 years ago. Unfortunately, I think that store went out of business a few years ago. The bedding is by Nicole Miller and the pillows are from Homegoods.
