What I Chose to Wear for My Son’s Graduation

Next week, my son is graduating from 8th grade.  I know what you are thinking… 8th grade is not a big deal, but when the school only goes up to 8th, it’s a huge deal.  I really can’t believe that I will have a child in High School next year!

Over the past few weeks, I have been on the search for the perfect dress.  I wanted something conservative, classic and lady-like, and I didn’t want to spend too much money on it.  I also didn’t want to wear anything that had a plunging neckline, a hemline that was too far above the knee or any of the bold patterns that are on trend right now.  With all that being said, here are a few of the dresses that I thought were appropriate.  If you scroll down, you will see the one I purchased…

And the one I bought was this Jacquard Sheath dress from Ann Taylor.  I think the style is classic, I love the coral color and it has one trendy element, which is the exposed zipper in the back.  I plan to wear it with my nude peep-toe pumps and a cute clutch.

If you are attending any graduation ceremonies this spring, what are you wearing?

No graduations for me this year. I did wear something similar to my nephew's college graduation last year. Ann Taylor and Talbots always seem to work for me. Congrats for your son!! They grow up so fast, don't they?
